I loved The Ritual. Bit drawn out in the middle, but what a powerful ending. Still have to read Apartment 16, though.

Slogging my way through "The Cartoonist", by Sean Costello (1990, picked it up in a 2nd hand shop) - it's not very good.

Everything else has been put on the back-burner to read King's new Dark Tower novel 'The Wind Through the Keyhole'

Pretty sure my TBR pile does not go down. I might have to do something drastic like stop buying new ones.

Since I've started filling up my Kindle, my TBR pile is basically infinite. I have to invoke the publishers' three chapter rule now; if something hasn't hooked me by then I'll move on to the next one.
As for what I'm reading right now, it's Black Static 28. Two stories in, and it reminds me of Murders in the Rue Morgue, because it has something of an orangey tang.

Currently reading Blackbirds by Chuck Wendig and then might give Game of Thrones a try.

just started Phillip Kerr's 'Gridiron' a near future thriler about a computerised building with AI - i love his historical bernie gunther books so have high hopes for this.

'gridiron' was okay but not as good as kerr's bernie gunther books. slighlty dated as it is twenty odd years old

Have put Terror Tales of the Cotswolds to one side for now as they're not gripping me in the same way as the Lake District ones did. Read The Prestige on holiday which was quite a but different to the film but equally as enjoyable. Just about to finish Tom Fletcher's The Leaping which is an excellent werewolf novel, next up will be his The Thing On The Shore.
