^ I'd agree - it's a bit of a turning point in the series where the supernatural elements are less hinted at and more to the fore. (Which made The Reapers all the more disappointing!)

^agreed - although the Lovers is brilliant as well which made me expect a little more from the Whisperers (which was still good though)

He's started work on the new Charlie Parker novel - "The Burning Soul" - due out next September. Similar in tone to "The Unquiet" apparently - which is good.

Next up is "Hells Bells", a non-Parker novel, written for the younger audience.

yeah the reapers is in more of a thriller style - wait till the next one ross, 'the lovers' is brilliant. what did you think of the Unquiet?

Reapers was okay but I prefer having Angel and Louis as supporting characters. The change of style (genre even..?) just seemed to jar the flow of the series.
Reading them all in one fell swoop is probably a good way to do it, and makes the revelations in The Lovers more dramatic.

Got to 60 pages before the end of Reapers before I relised it came after The UnQuiet; my son must have messed up the order of the books on the shelf :-(

Finished my series read through and can't wait for the next installment. Personal favourites were Dark Hollow, The Reapers and The Lovers.
