picked this up cheap in skoob books and really enjoyed it. a frenetically paced PI story with a lot depth, large body count and a 'well conceived' villain. set in London with a brief detour to Liverpool the story revolves around ex-cop turned PI Joel Sorrell nursing a permenant hangover and mourning the death of his wife (at the hands of a maniac - what else...) and searching for his runaway daughter. he is drawn into looking for a girl's missing brother and into the sphere of a killer with links to Joel's long buried past.
