had to take my daughter to the hospital today for a minor op and bought this to read while she was in recovery. really enjoyed it, along the lines of some of gaimens urban fantasy and things like nightwatch. follows a young police constable as he stumbles into a world of magic, ghosts and gods of london. really liked it, a proper rollercoaster read.

Picked it up recently in a 3 for 2 deal but it sits on the mountainous TBR pile.

'moon over soho' was pretty good - involving 'jazz vampires' and a foe who looks set to continue into the next book 'the faceless one', a bit more information on what happened to the other english wizards and lots of character building.

Finally picked up the next two in this series and have almost finished "whispers underground" which is proving to be as good as the previous books. "Broken homes" next. Has anyone else been reading these? Did you read anymore ross?

Finished "Broken Homes" and this is turning into a great series; amusing and touching in equal measure with enough thrills to keep you interested.
