Well, mine is singular. Start writing again. It has been a long and busy wile, but I would like to get back to it. You?

finish the weird western novel, make the collection a success and make this my best year for both amount of published stories and amount I make out of them ;-)

I graduate this year, and will also be made redundant this year: if I'm ever going to do this professionally, now would be a good time.
In 2014 I want at least one novel and more than one novella published, I want to start a Masters Degree in Creative Writing, and I want to put 'author' on my tax return.
And although it's not a criterion I'll judge success or failure by, I'd really like to get on one of the panels next time I'm at a convention.

The only thing better that putting 'author' on a tax return would be to put 'word ninja' on it. How would one go about getting on a panel? do you volunteer, or would you have to be selected? if it's selected, who decides and how do they decide?

You just put yourself forward I think, and then hope the organiser happens to have heard of you. None have yet, but hopefully they will.

It's that mid-way point in the year - how're we all doing? Anyone setting further goals?
I realized yesterday that I've had (including reprints) 35 short stories and 1 Novella published which made me smile. Really hoping to push on in the second half of 2014 - I have a couple of stories out there that I'd love to see picked up and quite a few more in various stages of completion, the crime/horror novel has been started but I need to push myself on it as stalled slightly. The paperback version of "Skewered; And Other London Cruelties" is coming soon with an additional five stories in it (two brand new and three reprints).
Hope we all have a great second half to 2014

Into the final quarter of 2014 now. Novel is almost there, waiting on some feedback then a final draft and send to the publisher. As well as that I'm trying to get a bunch of new weird westerns finished to put together as a collection. Have a pile of shorts that need redrafting and am considering writing an urban horror novel before I start on the next Charlie Bars novel.

Not much left of the year now! I'm hoping to make a good start of the second novel and clear the pile of shorts that need editing and rewriting.

Impressive how a few of the old guard have moved into the semi-sort of indie horror limelight.. congrats. I'm still no where, but I'll keep not trying.
