Just treated myself to the complete series with Jeremy Brett. Is it Granada? It was expensive ($130 for 12 DVDs) but I loved them enough to collect them. Cool, I can't wait till they get here. I think I'm going to watch one episode a week and make them last.

You'll love them - I did, I think Brett is one of the (if not the )best Holmes there's been.
You should check out a very modern version which was on our screens over here just recently which brought Holmes up to date and set the stories in present day. It could have gone horribly wrong but I think the writers and cast did a superb job of pulling it off.

for me brett is the finest onscreen holmes BUT my favourite holmes is clive merrisons audio representation in the BBC adaptations

Brett's my favourite. Although I haven't watched the old Rathbone films for years so he's probably a contender.
