Since returning from holiday my fiction word count has been 0. This has been down to taking on reviewing for Read Horror coupled with the release of a few must read books which has meant any writing time i fit in has been devoted to reviews.
What sort of balance do you think healthy and what are your tips for achieving it?

try a very low but mandatory daily word count... something like 200 words.. like 30 minutes a day, if you feel like writing more continue, if not you've met your daily quota. Having that word count goal too high is a recipe for fail, know from personal experience.

Yeah, I certainly feel I need to set some achievable targets

I read a chapter a day and write as much as possible. If the book doesn't have chapters, like the one I'm reading now, I stick to 20 pages a day minimum, otherwise I won't get enough writing done.

I've been slacking lately too, so I'm going to do this year's NaNoWriMo to shock myself into action.
