I've met quite a few horror writers on Facebook's Kindle Horror Books and The Horror Society, and quite a few of these guys self publish a few short stories on Kindle.
Any one here with any experience with that?
I've thought of taking two or three good stories of mine, adding an original or two and turning it into a Kindle book for about 99c. I'll get about R8 South African for every copy, as well as get stories to readers. The major setback of course is getting a decent book cover that won't bankrupt me. I've already got a few interested people who will write reviews on Amazon.
What do you guys think? Yay or Nay?

Will has already agreed to do a drawing for one of the stories, so my major concern now is of course the cover. How much does Ben Baldwin ask for a digital cover?

Thanks. Sent it off for a bit of editing today. Got author Robert Walker to do a foreword for me. Not sure if you guys have heard of him. It's only about 15000 words in total, but at least it'll look professional, and it has my best work to date.
Hopefully it'll be up in about a month. Not sure how long Ben will take with the cover.

He was pretty quick for Darker Minds. Which stories are featured?

Come All to the River of Death - haunted house The Great Wall of Rubin - Demons Lost in the Dark - Fantasy / horror story about kidnapped children Always Come Back - Flash fiction about a man in a mental institute Fashionably Undead - Zombies
Not sure if I should include Rise, Dead Man so quickly after the Darker Minds release. Although this will be a Kindle version. Maybe I should write another original. Two of the stories are unpublished.

My two cents, for what it is worth, is if you've got a story coming out in Darker Minds, don't sell it/use it in another publication, until any exclusivity ends. Even if there isn't any exclusivity, as a courtesy, don't compete against the antho. I speak for myself, not the publishers.
