Aside from being a huge Rockford/James Garner fan, I will have to defer to Bogie every time. Elliot Gould never did much for me. I do love the original Altman movie, MASH though.

Well, yes, he was in the end I think... Death By Murder, a film that is genius and garbage in equal measure.

I've never seen.. I think it's on Instant at netflix. Perhaps Ill watch, perhaps not. They even have all the Columbo episodes on instant watch, can you imagine that? Can you?

No Dick Powell? Actually, I was chatting to John Travis about how the old George Sanders film The Falcon Takes Over is an adaptation of Farewell, My Lovely and he said he actually prefers it to FML. Of course Sanders plays The Falcon rather than Philip Marlowe but still ...
