I've just sent a registration form to Nielsen Books - an on-line database that registers new book releases. You have to be registered with them if you want to sell your book at Waterstones as it's the database they use. There are a couple more steps to go but at least it's a start...

Erm, we are already registered with them mate. It's part of having ISBN numbers

The bumf I got mentioned setting up a trade relationship with Gardeners Books who would sell the books for us via Waterstones. Have we done that..?

No, there is a section on waterstones that details the process. The way we have it now enables people to order through Waterstones, WH Smith and Amazon and I send the copies to their warehouse operation.

The only way we get into waterstones stores at the moment is if an individual store's buyer orders one in. eg for regional interest etc
