Just finished this anthology and found it to be a mixed bag. Maybe having so many stories about the same theme lessened the impact after a while.
Best of all was Joe R Lansdale's "Night They Missed The Horror Show" which was like a kick in the teeth and illustrates just how horrible human beings can be.
I really liked Stephen Volk's "After The Ape" too. When I started reading it I initially though surely not, this is too corny and contrived but was relieved to find it a highly inventive, very clever story which makes a lot of points in a very subtle way. Some interesting metaphors for 9/11 in there too.

Err... can't remember. It's the one where the least horrible thing that happens is a dead dog being tied to the back of a car.

I really liked Steve Duffy's The Torturer, but I'm a bit of a closet fan of his.
Bit biased, but I enjoyed pretty much all of the stories and the overall feel of the book. The launch was pretty fantastic - the best one I've ever done. Don't know whether that was because it was for charity or not, but the vibe was great, and the queue of people buying was huge! Will never forget it.
