I know a few of us on here have now finished this so - thoughts?
Personally I thought it was very well put together and again with some genuinely creepy sequences, I especially like it when Nevill adds in historical elements to his stories.
I did however probably prefer 'last days' to 'HOSS' but that is just my preference.

I really liked it (and not just because of the WW1 references!)
It creeped me out very effectively though was more atmospheric and subtle than Last Days. A slow burner. True, dolls, puppets and taxidermy are inherently scary but it takes real skill to convey that on the page and that's certainly the case here. Thought the plot was strong too, not just a string of (very good) set pieces strung together.

^i'd agree a very coherent narrative. I also felt that Nevill was 'stretching' himself after his previous works.
